"they stipulated to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that there would be no charity upon them and no jihad." And with this isnād from Abū al-Zubayr, he said: Jābir informed me that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. This isnād is strong, and even though it includes Ibn Lahīʿah, he is trustworthy in himself, and we have secured against his poor memory by the ḥadīth coming through another route. Abū Dāwūd also recorded it (2/42), saying: al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ṣabāḥ narrated to us, Ismāʿīl, meaning Ibn ʿAbd al-Karīm, narrated to us, Ibrāhīm, meaning Ibn ʿAqīl ibn Munabbih, narrated to me from his father from Wahb, who said: I asked Jābir... the ḥadīth is similar except that he combined the two ḥadīths into one, which is apparent, and in the second, he said: and that he heard the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) after that say: "they will give charity..." the ḥadīth. This isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy.

"The two prostrations of forgetfulness suffice in prayer for any addition or deficiency." It was recorded by Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (218/1): Abū Muʿammar Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, Ḥakīm ibn Nāfiʿ narrated to us from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from ʿĀʾishah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād, its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs except for Ḥakīm ibn Nāfiʿ, and it appears he is al-Raqī. Al-Dhahabī said: "He narrates from the younger followers, Abū Zurʿah said: he is nothing. Ibn Maʿīn said: there is no harm in him. Ibn ʿAdī said: he is among those whose ḥadīth is written..." Then Abū Yaʿlá narrated it (223/1) through the route of Ḥafṣ ibn Bishr al-Asadī, who said: Ḥakīm ibn Nāfiʿ narrated it to me. Then I saw it in "Musnad al-Bazzār" (no. 574) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Bakkār, who narrated it from Ḥakīm ibn Nāfiʿ. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (2/151):
