and Isḥāq ibn Abī al-Furāt, the ḥāfiẓ said: "unknown." However, the ḥadīth has another chain that strengthens it, narrated by Faliḥ from Saʿīd ibn ʿUbayd ibn al-Sabbāq from Abū Hurayrah, attributed to the Prophet with the wording: "Before the Hour, there will be deceptive years..." the ḥadīth without the phrase: "and what is the ruwaiybiḍah..." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/338). I say: This isnād's men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for Ibn al-Sabbāq, who is trustworthy. However, Faliḥ, who is Ibn Sulaymān al-Khuzāʿī, has been criticized for his memory, to the extent that the ḥāfiẓ said: "truthful but makes many mistakes." Thus, the ḥadīth, with the combination of the two chains, is ḥasan. It has supporting evidence that increases its strength, narrated by Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from Anas ibn Mālik, attributed to the Prophet with the wording: "Indeed, before the Dajjāl, there will be deceptive years..." similar to the ḥadīth except he said: "the little wicked one will speak about public affairs." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/220). Its men are trustworthy except for the ʿanʿanah of Ibn Isḥāq.
