then Ibn Saʿd also narrated it from the mursal of Muṭarrif ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Shikhkhīr, and its chain is good, and from the mursal of ʿĀmir, who is al-Shaʿbī, and its chain is weak. It has a connected witness from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, raised similarly. It was narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (2/226). And another from the ḥadīth of al-ʿIrbāḍ ibn Sāriyah, found in the other book (2085).

"Dihyah al-Kalbī resembles Gabriel, and ʿUrwah ibn Masʿūd al-Thaqafī resembles Jesus son of Mary, and ʿAbd al-ʿUzzá resembles the Dajjāl." It was narrated by Ibn Saʿd (4/250) with an authentic chain from ʿĀmir al-Shaʿbī who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) likened three men from Umayyah and said: then he mentioned it. I say: the ḥadīth is authentic and has connected witnesses, some of which were mentioned earlier concerning the first two clauses in ḥadīth (1111). As for the last clause, it is supported by the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, raised: "While I was sleeping, I saw myself circumambulating the Kaʿbah, and there was a man of brown complexion with straight hair, between two men, with water dripping from his head or water being poured from his head. I said: Who is this? They said: This is the son of Mary. Then I turned to look, and there was a man with a reddish complexion, bulky, with curly hair, blind in one eye as if his eye was a floating grape. I said: Who is this? They said: the Dajjāl, the one who resembles him the most is Ibn Qaṭn." It was narrated by al-Bukhārī (2/369 and 4/358) and Muslim (1/108) and Aḥmad (2/22, 122, 144, and 154). Al-Bukhārī added in a narration: "And Ibn Qaṭn was a man from Banū al-Muṣṭaliq of Khuzāʿah." It is also in a narration by Aḥmad. However, he attributed it to Ibn Shihāb. It is a narration for al-Bukhārī, and he added: "He died in the pre-Islamic period."
