and he said in "al-Fatḥ" (10/122): "It was narrated by Aḥmad and al-Tirmidhī, and its narrators are trustworthy, but it is defective." He indicated tadlīs. As for al-Tirmidhī's statement: "This is a ḥasan ḥadīth," it might be due to its supporting narrations, one of which states: "Whoever performs cupping on the seventeenth..." and it has been mentioned under number (622). The ḥadīth was narrated by al-Ṭayālisī (number 2666) with the second part of it. Likewise, by Ibn Mājah (2/352) and it will be mentioned. The first part came from his action (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) with this isnād and others, phrased: "He used to perform cupping on the seventeenth" and it has been mentioned in ḥadīth (908).

- "The maternal uncle is an heir." Narrated by al-Qaṭīʿī in "al-Fawāʾid al-Muntaqāh" (4/2/2) through the chain of narration from Sharīk, from al-Layth, from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Abū Hurayrah, as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: Its narrators are trustworthy except that Sharīk had poor memory. However, it is supported by the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah and others, also as marfūʿ. It was extracted by al-Tirmidhī and others, and it is documented in "al-Irwāʾ" under ḥadīth (1700).

- "The best of your women are the affectionate, the fertile, the agreeable, the supportive, if they fear Allāh. And the worst of your women are those who display their beauty and are arrogant; they are the hypocrites, and none of them will enter Paradise except like the rare crow." Narrated by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (7/82) through the chain of Abū Ṣāliḥ ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāliḥ
