It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (491): ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal narrated to us, Suraij ibn Yūnus narrated to us from al-Muṭṭalib ibn Ziyād from Ziyād ibn ʿAlāqah from Usāmah ibn Sharīk who said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it with the addition of "in" at the beginning, and it was reported without it by al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (5/87-88) from the ḥadīth of Usāmah ibn Sharīk and he said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ", and its narrators are trustworthy." I did not see it in "al-Awsaṭ" despite using the index I prepared for it, but there is a gap in the manuscript, so it is possible that it is in some of the missing pages, otherwise, it would be an error on his part, especially since he did not attribute it to "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr". Its chain of narration is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy. It has many supporting narrations in "al-Ṣaḥīḥayn" and others from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and others, and some of them have already been mentioned under numbers (759, 863, and 1069).
- "The pilgrims and those performing ʿumrah are the delegation of Allāh, He invited them and they responded, they asked Him and He gave them." It was recorded by al-Bazzār (no. 1153) from Muḥammad ibn Abī Ḥumayd from Muḥammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jābir who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, and said: "We do not know it from Jābir except through Ibn al-Munkadir, and Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAmr narrated it from him." I say: This chain of narration is weak, Muḥammad ibn Abī Ḥumayd, who is Abū Ibrāhīm al-Madanī known as Ḥammād, was said by al-Ḥāfiẓ: "weak." And his follower Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAmr is even weaker than him, al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "abandoned." So I do not know, with this, the reason for al-Mundhirī's statement (2/108) followed by al-Haythamī (3/211):
