"his ḥadīth" (2/121/2) and Ibn ʿAsākir (19/82/1) from Ṣafwān ibn ʿAmr from Abū ʿUbayd al-Ḥaḍramī, meaning Shurayḥ, that Abū Mālik al-Ashʿarī, when death approached him, said: O group of Ashʿarīs, let the present convey to the absent, I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. al-Ḥākim said: "The isnād is authentic." and al-Dhahabī agreed, and it is as they said.

- "A menstruating woman and a woman in postnatal bleeding, when they reach the time, should perform ghusl, enter the state of iḥrām, and perform all the rituals except for ṭawāf of the House." Narrated by Abū Dāwūd (1744) and Aḥmad (1/364) from the route of Khuṣayf from ʿIkrimah, Mujāhid, and ʿAṭāʾ from Ibn ʿAbbās that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād has weakness, its men are trustworthy, except that Khuṣayf, who is Ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Jazarī, has poor memory. However, the ḥadīth is authentic, supported by the ḥadīth of Jābir in the ḥadīth of Asmāʾ bint ʿUmays when she gave birth at Dhū al-Ḥulayfah, that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ordered her to perform ghusl and enter the state of iḥrām, narrated by Muslim and others (see my book "Ḥujjat al-Nabī ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam as narrated by Jābir"). And the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to her when she menstruated while in iḥrām: Do what the pilgrim does except that you do not perform ṭawāf and do not pray. Agreed upon, and perhaps for this reason, the scholar Aḥmad Shākir authenticated the ḥadīth in his commentary on "al-Musnad" and Allāh knows best. (the time): the mīqāt: which here is the place designated for entering the state of iḥrām for ʿumrah or ḥajj.
