It is narrated from Anas ibn Mālik, ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbbās, Abū Hurayrah, ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Awfá, and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Anas, there are several chains from him: The first: from Ayyūb from ʿUtbah who said: al-Faḍl ibn Bakr al-ʿAbdī narrated to us from Qatādah from him. It was recorded by al-Bazzār (no. 80), al-ʿUqaylī (p. 352), Abū Bakr al-Dīnūrī in "al-Majālisah wa-Jawāhir al-ʿIlm" (7/145/1) with this wording, Abū Muslim al-Kātib in "al-Amālī" (261/1), Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (2/343), al-Harawī in "Dhamm al-Kalām" (145/1), and al-Qudāʿī (25/2). Al-Bazzār said: "It was only narrated by al-Faḍl from Qatādah and only from him by Ayyūb ibn ʿUtbah." Thus he said, and I have found a corroborator for them, recorded by Abū al-Shaykh in "Ṭabaqāt al-Aṣbahānīyīn" from ʿIkrimah ibn Ibrāhīm from Hishām from Yaḥyá from Qatādah with it. I say: both chains to Qatādah are weak, for ʿIkrimah ibn Ibrāhīm and Ayyūb ibn ʿUtbah are weak. And al-Faḍl ibn Bakr al-ʿAbdī, al-Dhahabī said: "unknown." Al-ʿUqaylī indicated what we mentioned about the weakness, saying afterwards: "It has been narrated from Anas through other than this route and from other than Anas with isnāds that have some weakness." The second: from Zāʾidah ibn Abī al-Raqād from Ziyād al-Namrī from Anas, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Three expiations, three elevations, three salvations, and three destructions. As for the expiations, they are perfecting ablution in difficult conditions, waiting for prayer after prayer, and walking to the Friday congregational prayers
