It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/184): ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak, who narrated to us from Usāmah ibn Zayd, from ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb, from his father, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. It was also recorded by al-Ṭayālisī (2264): Ibn al-Mubārak narrated it to us in the same way, except that he was uncertain and said: "or at their thresholds." It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī (4/110) through his route and he said: "Abū Dāwūd was uncertain." Muḥammad ibn al-Faḍl differed in his isnād and said: Ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us from Usāmah ibn Zayd, from his father, from Ibn ʿUmar with it elevated. It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (1806). I say: Muḥammad ibn al-Faḍl is al-Sadūsī, nicknamed "ʿĀrim," and he is trustworthy, but he became confused, so his contradiction to the two previous trustworthy narrators, ʿAbd al-Ṣamad, who is Ibn ʿAbd al-Wārith, and al-Ṭayālisī, is not considered. Their isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, and there is a difference of opinion regarding Usāmah ibn Zayd, who is Abū Zayd al-Laythī, and he is a reliable narrator. As for the statement of al-Būṣīrī in "al-Zawāʾid" (133/2): "And its isnād is weak due to the weakness of Usāmah." I say: Perhaps he intended Usāmah ibn Zayd al-ʿAdawī, for he is weak, and it is more likely what we mentioned that it is al-Laythī, for he is the one mentioned among the narrators from ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb, not al-ʿAdawī. Both of them are among the teachers of Ibn al-Mubārak. And Allāh knows best. There is a supporting ḥadīth narrated by ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn Ḥazm from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Bakr from ʿAmr from ʿĀʾishah with a similar elevation. It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī. And this ʿAbd al-Malik, I did not know him.
أخرجه أحمد (٢ / ١٨٤) : حدثنا عبد الصمد عن عبد الله بن المبارك حدثنا أسامة ابن زيد عن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن عبد الله بن عمرو أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: فذكره. وأخرجه الطيالسي (٢٢٦٤) : حدثنا ابن المبارك به إلا أنه شك فقال: " أو عند أفنيتهم ". وأخرجه البيهقي (٤ / ١١٠) من طريقه وقال: " شك أبو داود ". وخالفهما في إسناده محمد بن الفضل فقال: حدثنا ابن المبارك عن أسامة بن زيد عن أبيه عن ابن عمر مرفوعا به. أخرجه ابن ماجة (١٨٠٦) . قلت: ومحمد بن الفضل هو السدوسي الملقب بـ " عارم "، وهو ثقة، ولكنه كان اختلط، فلا يعتد بمخالفته للثقتين المتقدمين: عبد الصمد وهو ابن عبد الوارث والطيالسي. وإسنادهما حسن، رجاله ثقات، وفي أسامة بن زيد وهو أبو زيد الليثي خلاف، وهو حسن الحديث. وأما قول البوصيري في " الزوائد " (١٣٣ / ٢) : " وإسناده ضعيف لضعف أسامة ". فأقول: لعله أراد أنه أسامة بن زيد العدوي، فإنه ضعيف والأقرب ما ذكرنا أنه الليثي، فإنه هو الذي ذكر في الرواة عن عمرو بن شعيب دون العدوي. وكلاهما من شيوخ ابن المبارك. والله أعلم. وللحديث شاهد يرويه عبد الملك بن محمد بن عمرو بن حزم عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عمرو عن عائشة مرفوعا نحوه. أخرجه البيهقي. وعبد الملك هذا لم أعرفه.
