and the ḥāfiẓ attributed it in "al-Iṣābah" to Abū Yaʿlá and Ibn Mandah. Among them is the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet]: "We, the group of prophets, have been commanded to hasten our breaking of the fast and delay our pre-dawn meal, and to place our right hands over our left in prayer." It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī and others, and authenticated by Ibn Ḥibbān. It is also included in various works of mine, so refer to "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr wa-Ziyādatuh" (no. 2282). There are other ḥadīths encouraging the hastening of breaking the fast and delaying the pre-dawn meal, which can be reviewed in the comprehensive ḥadīth books.

"I was sent to the people of al-Baqīʿ to pray for them." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/92) from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad from ʿAlqamah ibn Abī ʿAlqamah from his mother from ʿĀʾishah, who said: "The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) went out one night, so I sent Barīrah after him to see where he went. She said: He went towards Baqīʿ al-Gharqad, stood at the edge of al-Baqīʿ, then raised his hands, and then returned. Barīrah came back to me and informed me. When morning came, I asked him, 'O Messenger of Allāh, where did you go last night?' He mentioned it." Mālik followed him in "al-Muwaṭṭaʾ" (1/242/55) and from him, al-Nasāʾī (1/287). I say: This isnād is acceptable for supporting evidence, as Umm ʿAlqamah, whose name is Marjānah, was also narrated from by others besides her son, such as Bukayr ibn al-Ashajj. Al-ʿAjlī said in "al-Thiqāt" (68/2 microfilm of the library): "A trustworthy Medinan tābiʿīyah."
