I said: This isnād has weakness; ʿUbayd ibn Muḥammad, who is al-Muḥāribī their client from Kūfah, has strange ḥadīths as Ibn ʿAdī said, but he was not alone in narrating it as will be mentioned. And Muḥammad ibn Muhājir al-Qurashī was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān and a group narrated from him, and he was followed by Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq al-Hamdānī, who narrated to us from Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Saʿd in a similar manner. It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/170) and al-Ḥākim, who said: "Its isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said.

- "Shall I not inform you of the prayer of the hypocrite? He delays ʿAṣr until the sun is like the size of a cow's udder, then he performs it." It was recorded by al-Dāraqutnī in "his Sunan" (p. 94) and al-Ḥākim (1/195) through the route of ʿAbd al-Salām ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd, who narrated to us from Mūsá ibn Aʿyun from Abū al-Najāshī, who said: I heard Rāfiʿ ibn Khadīj say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is good; all its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except for ʿAbd al-Salām ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd, who was mentioned by Ibn Ḥibbān in "al-Thiqāt" and Ibn ʿAdī said: "I do not know of any fault in his ḥadīth, I did not see anything objectionable in his ḥadīth." And al-Azdī said: They abandoned him. This is from his excessiveness and extremism. The ḥadīth is supported by his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) statement: "That is the prayer of the hypocrite; he sits watching the sun until it is between the horns of the devil, then he stands and pecks four [units] without remembering Allāh in it except a little." It was recorded by Muslim and others from the ḥadīth of Anas ibn Mālik, and it is included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (440)
