"authentic according to the criteria of Muslim" because ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāliḥ is not according to his criteria firstly, then he is weakened secondly, and he contradicted ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak in his isnād thirdly, making it from the Musnad of Surāqah, while it is with him from the Musnad of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr. Yes, Imām Aḥmad said (4/175): ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Muqriʾ narrated to us, Mūsá ibn ʿAlī narrated to us, he said: I heard my father say: It reached me from Surāqah ibn Mālik ibn Juʿshum al-Mudlijī that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: and he mentioned it. And ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Muqriʾ is trustworthy from the men of the two Shaykhs, for he preserved and clarified that it is disconnected between ʿAlī ibn Rabāḥ and Surāqah. And Allāh knows best. Then I saw that al-Ḥākim extracted it (1/60-61) through the route of Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb, Mūsá ibn ʿAlī narrated it to me with it, except that he did not say: "It reached me," and he said: "authentic according to the criteria of Muslim." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and Ibn al-Ḥabbāb is not like al-Muqriʾ in memory and precision. And the ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from Muʿādh ibn Jabal, raised, with the wording: "Shall I inform you about the kings of Paradise? I said: Yes. He said: A weak, humble man with two worn garments, who is not taken notice of; if he swore by Allāh, He would fulfill it." It was extracted by Ibn Mājah (4115) from Suwayd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz from Zayd ibn Wāqid from Busr ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Abū Idrīs al-Khawlānī from him. I said: And this isnād's men are trustworthy except for Suwayd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, for he is weak, and the ḥāfiẓ said: lenient in ḥadīth. And Muḥammad ibn Jābir narrated from ʿAmr ibn Murrah from Abū al-Bakhtarī from Ḥudhayfah, raised, with the wording: "Shall I inform you of the worst of Allāh's servants? The harsh, arrogant one. Shall I inform you of the best of Allāh's servants? The humble one with two worn garments; if he swore by Allāh, Allāh would fulfill his oath." It was extracted by Aḥmad (5/407).
