and Abū al-Rabāb is Muṭarrif ibn Mālik al-Qushayrī, a Basran. Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned this Muṭarrif (4/1/312) and said: "He witnessed the conquest of Tustar with Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī. Zurārah ibn Abī Awfá and Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn narrated from him." Ibn Ḥibbān also mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." I say: Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd al-Maqburī also narrated from him, as you can see, so three trustworthy narrators have narrated from him. Thus, his ḥadīth is good, if Allāh wills. In summary, the ḥadīth through these paths is authentic in my view. And Allāh knows best. The first part of it has a corroborating narration from Abū Hurayrah, which was mentioned under number (738). Al-Suyūṭī cited it from the narration of Abū Yaʿlá from Ibn ʿAmr with the wording: "The first people to perish are Quraysh, and the first of Quraysh to perish are Banū Hāshim." Al-Manāwī said: "And in it is Ibn Lahīʿah."

- "O my daughter! What has come upon your father is something that Allāh will not leave anyone from, to meet on the Day of Resurrection." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (3/141): Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, al-Mubārak narrated to us from Thābit al-Bunānī from Anas who said: "When Fāṭimah said that, meaning when the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) experienced the distress of death, Fāṭimah said: 'Oh, what distress!' The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... (and he mentioned it): Khalaf narrated to us, al-Mubārak narrated to us, Thābit narrated to me from Anas who said: When Fāṭimah said that, he mentioned it similarly." I say: This isnād is good after al-Mubārak ibn Faḍālah explicitly stated the narration, as he was followed up. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī in "al-Shamāʾil" (379 - Ḥimṣ) and Ibn Mājah (1629) through the route of ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Zubayr Abū al-Zubayr, Thābit al-Bunānī narrated it
