and as for Abū Muqrin, I do not know him. This was narrated by Nuʿaym ibn Ḥammād from Ibn al-Mubārak, who omitted him from the isnād as mentioned by the commentator Shaykh Ḥabīb al-Raḥmān al-Aʿẓamī. I said: Likewise, it was also narrated by al-Shāfiʿī in "Majlisān" (vol. 6, pp. 1-2). ʿUthmān ibn ʿUmar disagreed with him and said: Yūnus ibn Yazīd narrated to us from al-Zuhrī, from Muḥammad ibn ʿUrwah ibn al-Zubayr, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah. It was narrated by al-Bazzār (789 - Kashf al-Astār) who said: "We do not know of Muḥammad ibn ʿUrwah narrating from his father from ʿĀʾishah except this." I said: He is truthful as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb," so the isnād is good. In summary, it appears from these chains that the ḥadīth has a solid origin from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), especially as it is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Qatādah: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by a funeral and said: "One who finds rest or one from whom others find rest." They asked, "O Messenger of Allāh, who is the one who finds rest and the one from whom others find rest?" He said: "The believing servant finds rest from the toil and harm of the world to the mercy of Allāh, and the wicked servant is one from whom the people, the land, the trees, and the animals find rest." It was narrated by Mālik (1/241/54) and from him by al-Bukhārī (4/233), as well as by Muslim (3/54), al-Nasāʾī (1/272-273), and Aḥmad (5/302-303), all from him, from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr ibn Ḥalḥalah, from Maʿbad ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik, from him. It was also narrated by the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], al-Nasāʾī, and Aḥmad (5/296, 302, 304) through other chains from Ibn Kaʿb with it.
