and the ḥadīth is similar in meaning to the ḥadīth "Adopt a moderate approach, for whoever overburdens himself in this religion will be overwhelmed by it." and others with similar meanings. I have referenced it in "Ẓilāl al-Jannah fī Takhrej Kitāb al-Sunnah" by Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim (98) and it has a supporting narration under number (1760).

- "Only the one who is forgiven finds rest." It is narrated from the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah, Bilāl al-Ḥabashī, and Muḥammad ibn ʿUrwah in a mursal form. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah, it is narrated by Ibn Lahīʿah: Abū al-Aswad told us from ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah who said: It was said: O Messenger of Allāh, so-and-so has died and found rest! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) became angry and said: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/69 and 102) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (8/290) who said: "It is a rare narration from Ibn Lahīʿah, narrated uniquely by al-Muʿāfá according to what Sulaymān said." He means his teacher al-Ṭabarānī, but it is not as he said, for it is with Aḥmad from other chains through Ibn Lahīʿah. Its narrators are trustworthy except for Ibn Lahīʿah, who has poor memory, but his ḥadīth is strengthened by what follows, especially since it was also recorded by al-Bazzār through a different chain and its narrators are trustworthy as al-Haythamī said, and an explanation of it will follow. 2 - The ḥadīth of Bilāl was narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir as in "al-Jāmiʿ." 3 - As for the ḥadīth of Muḥammad ibn ʿUrwah, it was recorded by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (251): Yūnus ibn Yazīd informed us from Abū Muqrin who said: Muḥammad ibn ʿUrwah told us: "A woman from the Companions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed away, and they laughed at her, so Bilāl said: Woe to her, she has found rest, ..." the ḥadīth
