"its chain of transmission is authentic." I said: but it is only ḥasan [good] at best. The ḥadīth provides evidence that it is not permissible for a Muslim to wear the clothing of non-Muslims or to adopt their appearance. There are many ḥadīths on this matter, and I have compiled a good section of them from various chapters of Islamic law and included them in my book "The Muslim Woman's Veil." Refer to it, as it is important, especially since imitating non-Muslims in their clothing and customs has become widespread in many Islamic countries, to the extent that some of it has been imposed on soldiers in most or all Islamic countries, making them wear the cap, so that most people no longer feel that there is the slightest violation of Islamic law in this. To Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return.

"We, the group of prophets, our eyes sleep, but our hearts do not sleep." It was recorded by Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (1/171) from Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAmr from ʿAṭāʾ from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: and he mentioned it. I said: This chain of transmission is weak and mursal [interrupted], but it is supported by the ḥadīth of Anas ibn Mālik concerning the Night Journey, in which it is mentioned: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) had his eyes asleep but his heart did not sleep, and likewise the prophets, their eyes sleep but their hearts do not sleep." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (2/396 and 4/485) through the path of Sharīk ibn ʿAbd Allāh from him. The ḥadīth has supporting narrations, one of which will appear in ḥadīth (1872).
