then I saw that al-Mundhirī included the ḥadīth in "al-Targhīb" (4/106) from Ibn Masʿūd as marfūʿ with a similar wording, and he said, followed by al-Haythamī (10/237): "al-Bazzār narrated it with a good isnād."
ثم رأيت المنذري أورد الحديثفي " الترغيب " (٤ / ١٠٦) عن ابن مسعود مرفوعا نحوه، وقال وتبعه الهيثمي (١٠ / ٢٣٧) : " رواه البزار بإسناد جيد ".

"This is from the clothing of the disbelievers, so do not wear it." Narrated by Muslim (6/144), Aḥmad (2/162, 207, 211), and Ibn Saʿd (4/265) through various chains from Hishām al-Dastawāʾī from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr who said Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn al-Ḥārith told me that Ibn Maʿdān informed him that Jubayr ibn Nufayr informed him from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saw him wearing two dyed garments and said: then he mentioned it. Among the isnāds of Aḥmad: Yaḥyá narrated to us from Hishām al-Dastawāʾī with it. From this chain, al-Ḥākim also narrated it (4/190) except that he did not mention Jubayr ibn Nufayr in his isnād, and he said: "Authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, and they did not narrate it!" al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but they erred in their critique of Muslim. And he was followed by ʿAlī ibn al-Mubārak from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr with it, according to him—I mean Muslim. And it was narrated from the path of Ṭāwūs from Ibn ʿAmr who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saw me wearing two dyed garments and said: Did your mother order you to do this? I said: Should I wash them? He said: Rather, burn them." Al-Ḥākim also narrated it from another path from Ibn ʿAmr with a similar wording, and added at the end: "So I did." And he said:
" إن هذا من لباس الكفار فلا تلبسها ". رواه مسلم (٦ / ١٤٤) وأحمد (٢ / ١٦٢ و ٢٠٧ و ٢١١) وابن سعد (٤ / ٢٦٥) من طرق عن هشام الدستوائي عن يحيى بن أبي كثير حدثني محمد بن إبراهيم بن الحارث أن ابن معدان أخبره أن جبير بن نفير أخبره عن عبد الله بن عمرو أن رسول الله ﷺ رأى عليه ثوبيه معصفرين فقال: فذكره. ومن أسانيد أحمد: حدثنا يحيى عن هشام الدستوائي به. ومن هذا الوجه أخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ١٩٠) إلا أنه لم يذكر جبير بن نفير في إسناده، وقال: " صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يخرجاه "! ووافقه الذهبي، وقد وهما في استدراكه على مسلم. وتابعه عنده - أعني مسلما - علي بن المبارك عن يحيى بن أبي كثير به. وأخرجه من طريق طاووس عن ابن عمرو قال: " رأى النبي ﷺ علي ثوبين معصفرين فقال: أأمك أمرتك بهذا؟ ! قلت: أغسلهما؟ قال: بل أحرقهما ". وأخرجه الحاكم أيضا من طريق أخرى عن ابن عمرو نحوه، وزاد في آخره: " ففعلت". وقال:
