to walk in this. Then he said: "Shall I not tell you something I heard from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)?" They said: "Yes." He said: "I heard him say," and then he mentioned it. I said: "And this isnād is weak; I did not recognize any of its narrators except its Companion, and I fear there might be a transcription error in the copy of 'al-Tārīkh.'" And Allāh knows best. Then it became clear to me that the lower-ranking man is al-Maswar, and it was recorded as al-Sūr! - al-Dhahabī mentioned it in "al-Mīzān" and said: "He is not strong," as stated by al-Azdī. And similarly in "al-Lisān." Ibn Abī Ḥātim included it in "his book" from the narration of a group of trustworthy narrators about him, so it is considered ḥasan in supporting narrations and testimonies. And I found a supporting narration for it from the ḥadīth of Rifāʿah ibn Rāfiʿ, elevated, with an addition at the beginning, which I included in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (1716) due to an unknown element in its isnād; thus, the ḥadīth, in totality, is ḥasan as I mentioned there. And Allāh knows best.

- "Indeed, the hearts of the children of Adam are all between two fingers of the fingers of the Most Merciful, like one heart, which He turns as He wills. Then the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) says: 'O Allāh, Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience.'" Narrated by Muslim (8/51), Aḥmad (2/168 and 173), and al-Ṭabarī (vol. 6, no. 6657, page 219) from Ḥayywah ibn Sharīḥ who said: "Abū Hāniʾ al-Khūlānī informed me." that he heard Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ḥublī say: "I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ say: 'I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say,'" and then he mentioned it.

- "For every traitor, there will be a banner on the Day of Resurrection by which he will be recognized at his posterior."
