and it was also narrated by al-Ṭaḥāwī through two other routes from Ibn al-Saʿdī with it. In the chapter, there are also narrations from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf and Thawbān, as reported by al-Bazzār and others.

"The affair of this ummah will continue to be moderate or balanced until they speak about children and destiny." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (no. 12764) and "al-Awsaṭ" (2442 - my numbering), and from him by Abū Mūsá al-Madīnī in "Muntahá Raghbāt al-Sāmiʿīn" (1/248/1) and al-Ḥākim (1/33) through the route of Muḥammad ibn Abān al-Wāsiṭī, who reported from Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim, who said: I heard Abū Rajāʾ al-ʿAṭṭāridī say: I heard Ibn ʿAbbās narrating from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: and he mentioned it. Al-Bazzār said: "A group narrated it and stopped it." I said: but it is considered elevated because it is not said by opinion, as is apparent. Its isnād is sound according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, as al-Ḥākim said, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. Al-Haythamī said (7/202): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr' and 'al-Awsaṭ', and the narrators of al-Bazzār are the narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ."
