and al-Dhahabī agreed with him! Al-Tirmidhī recorded from it his saying: "By the One in whose hand is my soul..." and said: "A good ḥadīth, we do not know it except from the narration of al-Qāsim ibn al-Faḍl, and he is trustworthy and reliable."

"You are not even a part of one hundred thousand parts of those who will come to me at the ḥawḍ from my ummah." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (5746) and al-Ḥākim (1/76) who authenticated it, and Aḥmad (4/367, 369, 371, 372) through the route of Shuʿbah from ʿAmr ibn Murrah who said: I heard Abū Ḥamzah who heard Zayd ibn Arqam say: "We were with the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) on a journey, and we stopped at a place, and I heard him say: (and he mentioned it), he said: How many were you that day? He said: Seven hundred or eight hundred." I say: This isnād is authentic, its men are the men of the two Shaykhs except for Abū Ḥamzah, whose name is Ṭalḥah ibn Yazīd al-Anṣārī, and he is among the men of al-Bukhārī, and he was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān and al-Nasāʾī.
