I said: Ṭalḥah is abandoned. As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, it is narrated by Sufyān ibn Wakīʿ, who said: Zayd ibn al-Ḥabbāb narrated to us from Mūsá ibn ʿUbaydah from Ṭalḥah ibn ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Kurz from him, elevated. It was narrated by Ibn ʿAdī (183/2) and he criticized it because others besides Sufyān transmitted it as disconnected, not mentioning Ibn ʿUmar. I said: It is weak; he was prone to suggestion, and Mūsá is also weak. In summary: the ḥadīth of the chapter is authentic without doubt, unlike the addition. And Allāh knows best.

"Indeed, Allāh will bring out a people from the Fire after nothing remains of them in it except their faces, and Allāh will admit them into Paradise." It was narrated by ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd in "al-Muntaqá min al-Musnad" (100/1) through the route of ʿAṭiyyah from Abū Saʿīd, elevated. I said: This isnād is weak; ʿAṭiyyah, who is al-ʿAwfī, is weak and a mudallis. However, the ḥadīth is in "Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī" (4/463-464) through another route from Abū Saʿīd, elevated, where the ḥadīth of intercession is mentioned in full. In it: "Allāh, the Exalted, will say: Go, and whoever you find in his heart the weight of a dinar of faith, bring him out, and Allāh will forbid their faces to the Fire..." The faces here refer to the countenances, and it is a strong witness for the ḥadīth, which is why I included it here in "al-Ṣaḥīḥah."
