"a ḥadīth that is rare from this perspective, from the ḥadīth of Anas about the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)." I said: Its isnād is good, its narrators are reliable, and the reason within it is found in Muslim and others from the previous ḥadīth of Abū Masʿūd, so it is a strong witness for it. Ziyād ibn Maimūn al-Thaqafī also followed him on the ḥadīth of the chapter, narrating it as marfūʿ with the addition: "and Allāh loves the relief of the distressed." It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá in "his Musnad" (3/1063), Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in "Qadāʾ al-Ḥawāʾij" (p. 78), and Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr in "al-Jāmiʿ" without the addition. I said: This Ziyād is abandoned, and Yazīd ibn Hārūn accused him of lying. It was also narrated by al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (no. 1951), but it appeared as: Ziyād al-Namīrī, and likewise al-Mundhirī said (1/72) after attributing it to him: "In it is Ziyād ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Namīrī, who has been deemed trustworthy, and it has supporting witnesses." Thus he said, and al-Namīrī is in a better state than al-Thaqafī, and Allāh knows best. This addition was narrated through the route of Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad ibn Yūnus al-Sāmī, who narrated to us from Azhar ibn Saʿd, who narrated from Ibn ʿAwn from Muḥammad ibn Sīrīn from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ. It was narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (15/72/2). I said: This al-Sāmī is al-Kadīmī, accused of fabricating. 6 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, it is narrated by Ṭalḥah ibn ʿAmr from ʿAṭāʾ from him as marfūʿ with the addition: "and Allāh loves the relief of the distressed." It was narrated by Abū al-Qāsim al-Qushayrī in "al-Arbaʿīn" (157/2) and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (2/449/2)
