and (the sheep): refers to a single one from the sheep, goats, gazelles, cattle, ostriches, and wild donkeys, as mentioned in "al-Muʿjam al-Wasīṭ."
و (الشاة) : الواحدة من الضأنوالمعز والظباء والبقر والنعام وحمر الوحش. كما في " المعجم الوسيط ".
"Indeed, Allāh does not look at the one who drags his garment." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (2/299) and Aḥmad (1/322) through two chains from Ashʿath who said: I heard Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who said: and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim. And Ashʿath is the son of Abū al-Shaʿthāʾ. It has a supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah, raised to the Prophet, with the same meaning except that he said: "... the one who drags [his garment] on the Day of Judgment." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/318) with an authentic isnād according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim as well. It was narrated by Muslim (6/148) from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād who said: I heard Abū Hurayrah and he saw a man dragging his garment, so he began to strike the ground with his foot, while he was a governor over (Bahrain) and he was saying: The governor has come, the governor has come! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it with the wording: "... to the one who drags his garment out of arrogance." Then he recorded it from Ibn ʿUmar, raised to the Prophet, with the wording: "Indeed, the one who drags his clothes out of pride, Allāh will not look at him on the Day of Judgment."
" إن الله لا ينظر إلى مسبل الإزار ". أخرجه النسائي (٢ / ٢٩٩) وأحمد (١ / ٣٢٢) من طريقين عن أشعث قال: سمعت سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس عن النبي ﷺ قال: فذكره. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح على شرط الشيخين. وأشعث هو ابن أبي الشعثاء. وله شاهد من حديث أبي هريرة مرفوعا به إلا أنه قال: " ... المسبل يوم القيامة ". أخرجه أحمد (٢ / ٣١٨) بإسناد صحيح على شرط الشيخين أيضا. وقد رواه مسلم (٦/ ١٤٨) عن محمد بن زياد قال: سمعت أبا هريرة ورأى رجلا يجر إزاره، فجعل يضرب الأرض برجله، وهو أمير على (البحرين) وهو يقول: جاء الأمير جاء الأمير! قال رسول الله ﷺ: فذكره بلفظ: " ... إلى من يجر إزاره بطرا ". ثم أخرجه عن ابن عمر مرفوعا بلفظ: " إن الذي يجر ثيابه من الخيلاء لا ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة ".
- "Indeed, Allāh supports Ḥassān with the Holy Spirit as long as he defends or boasts on behalf of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)."
