"truthful." The second added: "he errs." I said: Thus, the ḥadīth is good, especially as it has corroborations from the ḥadīth of ʿAmr ibn al-Jamūḥ, Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ, and Asmāʾ bint Yazīd, as recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (1/6).

- "Take a nap, for the devils do not nap." It was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ṭibb" (12/1 Sufarjalānī edition) and in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/195 and 353 and 2/69) through various chains from Abū Dāwūd al-Ṭayālisī, who narrated to us from ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān, from Qatādah, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim, except for ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān, who, as the ḥāfiẓ said, is truthful but errs. And it has another chain narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (no. 2725, 1/3/1) from Kathīr ibn Marwān, from Yazīd Abū Khālid al-Dalānī, from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah, from Anas with it. And he said: "No one narrated it from Abū Khālid except Kathīr ibn Marwān." I said: The ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Fatḥ" (11/58): "He is abandoned." I said: And his teacher, al-Dalānī, is weak. But he has been followed up, as it was recorded by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ṭibb" (12/1-2) and al-Khaṭīb in "al-Mawḍiḥ" (2/81-82) through the chain of ʿAbbād ibn Kathīr, from Sayyār al-Wāsiṭī, from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah with it, and he added at the beginning: "Do not wake up in the morning."
