I said: this is a strong corroboration: Muḥammad ibn Juḥādah is trustworthy, relied upon by the two Shaykhs in their "Ṣaḥīḥ" collections, but the narrator from him, al-Ḥasan ibn Abī Jaʿfar, who is al-Jufrī, is weak in ḥadīth. However, Aḥmad also recorded it (5/391) through the route of Ḥammād ibn Salamah from ʿUthmān al-Battī from Nuʿaym ibn Abī Hind with a similar narration. This isnād is authentic, and al-Mundhirī said: there is no harm in it. The correct view is what I mentioned, as I clarified in my commentary on it (2/61-62), and the first part of it is supported by a marfūʿ ḥadīth of Jābir. It was recorded by Ibn ʿAsākir (15/81/2). The rest is supported by a marfūʿ ḥadīth of ʿAlī recorded by al-Khaṭīb in "al-Mawḍiḥ" (1/46).

- "The allies of Allāh are those who, when seen, remind one of Allāh." It was narrated by Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/231), al-Wāḥidī (58/1), and al-Daylamī (1/2/341) from Jaʿfar ibn Abī al-Mughīrah from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) regarding His saying: *"Unquestionably, the allies of Allāh—there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve."* He said: "They are those who..." It was also narrated by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (no. 217): Mālik ibn Mughawwal and Masʿar ibn Kidām narrated to us from Abū Usayd—and Ibn Ḥuyuwah said from Abū Anas from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr who said: so he mentioned it. It was narrated by Ibn Ṣāʿid in the additions to "al-Zuhd" (218) in a connected form, saying: Kathīr ibn Shihāb ibn ʿĀṣim al-Qazwīnī narrated to us, saying: Muḥammad ibn Saʿīd ibn Sābiq narrated to us, saying: Yaʿqūb al-Ashʿarī, meaning al-Qummī, narrated to us from Jaʿfar ibn Abī al-Mughīrah from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās with it.
