and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it would have been appropriate for them to add "according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī," for all its narrators are those of the two Shaykhs except for the one who narrated it from ʿAbd al-Razzāq, who is Yaḥyā ibn Jaʿfar al-Bukhārī, one of al-Bukhārī's own teachers. However, there is hesitation in confirming its authenticity, because Abū Qilābah has been described as practicing tadlīs, and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah. If he heard it from Anas, then its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ, otherwise, it is not. Indeed, the ḥadīth is ṣaḥīḥ, as there was previously mentioned a supporting narration for its latter part, and as for its first part, there is a supporting narration with the wording: "The dream is upon the leg of a bird, as long as it is not interpreted; if it is interpreted, it occurs. (The narrator said: And I think he said) It should not be related except to one who is friendly or has insight." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (4/2/178), Abū Dāwūd (5020), al-Tirmidhī (2/45), al-Dārimī (2/126), Ibn Mājah (3914), al-Ḥākim (4/390), al-Ṭayālisī (1088), Aḥmad (4/10-13), Ibn Abī Shaybah (12/189/1), al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (1/295), and Ibn ʿAsākir (11/219/2) from Yaʿlá ibn ʿAṭāʾ, who heard Wakīʿ ibn ʿAddas narrate from his uncle Abū Razīn al-ʿUqaylī, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." Al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. Al-Munāwī in "al-Fayḍ" quoted from the author of "al-Iqtiṣāḥ" that he said: "Its isnād is according to the criteria of Muslim"! And all of this is an error, especially the last statement among them, for Wakīʿ ibn ʿAddas was not included by him
