that ḥadīth by al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī in "al-Mukhtārah" (65/66/1) through this path of Aḥmad. And through another path with him (1/297), and it was narrated by al-Nasāʾī (1/261) and al-Bazzār (808) through other paths from ʿAṭāʾ with it. It has a supporting narration reported by ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad from ʿAmr ibn Abī ʿAmr from Saʿīd ibn Abī Saʿīd from Abū Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, raising it [to the Prophet]: "Indeed, the believer is in the sight of Allāh in the position of all goodness; he praises Me while I am extracting his soul from between his sides." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/361) and likewise by al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (no. 781) and al-Haythamī said: "The isnād is good." And it is as he said. And the wording of Aḥmad: "Allāh said: Indeed, the believer is in My sight in the position of..." And in another narration of his (2/341): "Indeed, Allāh says: My believing servant is in My sight in the position of...."

- "Indeed, Allāh created the disease and the cure, so seek treatment, but do not seek treatment with what is unlawful." It was narrated by al-Dūlābī (2/38) from ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh who said: Thālabah ibn Muslim narrated to us from Abū ʿImrān Sulaymān ibn ʿAbd Allāh from Abū al-Dardāʾ as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: Thus it appeared in the original, and it seems that there is an omission in the isnād, for between Thālabah and ʿAlī ibn ʿAyyāsh is Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh as in "al-Tahdhīb"
