- "Indeed, Allāh created Adam from a handful taken from all of the earth, so the children of Adam came according to the earth. Among them are the red, the white, and the black, and what is between that, the easy-going and the difficult, the wicked and the good." Narrated by Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (1/5-6): Hudhah ibn Khalīfah informed us, ʿAwf informed us from Qasāmah who said: I heard Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī narrating it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This is a ṣaḥīḥ isnād, its men are the men of Muslim except for Hudhah, who is trustworthy, and it was narrated from him by al-Wāḥidī in "al-Wasīṭ" (1/14/1-2) and Ibn ʿAsākir (2/307/2) through various chains from him. Similarly, it was narrated by Abū al-Faraj al-Thaqafī in "al-Fawāʾid" (97/1) and authenticated, and by Ibn Ḥibbān (2083 and 2084), and Aḥmad (4/406), and others like Abū Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhī who said: "ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." I say: Hudhah ibn Khalīfah was also followed up, as it was also extracted by al-Ṭabarī in "al-Tafsīr" (1/481/645), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt" (327 and 385), Ibn Khuzaymah in "al-Tawḥīd" (44), and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (3/104 and 8/135) through chains from ʿAwf al-Aʿrābī with it.
- " إن الله خلق آدم من قبضة قبضها من جميع الأرض، فجاء بنو آدم على قدر الأرض، جاء منهم الأحمر والأبيض والأسود، وبين ذلك، والسهل والحزن، والخبيث والطيب ". رواه ابن سعد في " الطبقات " (١ / ٥ - ٦) : أخبرنا هوذة بن خليفة أخبرنا عوف عن قسامة قال: سمعت أبا موسى الأشعري مرفوعا به. قلت: هذا سند صحيح رجاله رجال مسلم غير هوذة، وهو ثقة، وعنه رواه الواحدي في " الوسيط " (١ / ١٤ / ١ - ٢) وابن عساكر (٢ / ٣٠٧ / ٢) من طرق عنه. وكذا رواه أبو الفرج الثقفي في " الفوائد " (٩٧ / ١) وصححه وابن حبان (٢٠٨٣ و ٢٠٨٤) وأحمد (٤ / ٤٠٦) وغيرهم كأبي داود والترمذي وقال: " حسن صحيح ". قلت: وقد توبع هوذة بن خليفة، فأخرجه الطبري أيضا في " التفسير " (١ / ٤٨١/ ٦٤٥) والبيهقي في " الأسماء والصفات " (٣٢٧ و ٣٨٥) وابن خزيمة في " التوحيد " (٤٤) وأبو نعيم في " الحلية " (٣ / ١٠٤ و ٨ / ١٣٥) من طرق عن عوف الأعرابي به.

- "Indeed, the believer strives with his sword and his tongue, and by the One in whose hand is my soul, it is as if what you are throwing at them is the spray of arrows." Narrated by Aḥmad (6/387): ʿAbd al-Razzāq told us, he said: Maʿmar informed us from al-Zuhrī from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik from his father who said to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): Indeed, Allāh has revealed about poetry what He has revealed, so he mentioned it. And this is ṣaḥīḥ according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs
- " إن المؤمن يجاهد بسيفه ولسانه، والذي نفسي بيده لكأن ما ترمونهم به نضح النبل ". أخرجه أحمد (٦ / ٣٨٧) : حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال: أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن عبد الرحمن بن كعب بن مالك عن أبيه أنه قال للنبي ﷺ: إن الله ﷿ قد أنزل في الشعر ما أنزل، فقال: فذكره. وهذا صحيح على شرط الشيخين.
