and ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr, ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir, ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar, Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, and Abū Hurayrah. 1 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd, it is narrated by Ibrāhīm al-Nakhaʿī from ʿAlqamah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, raised to the Prophet with a similar wording. It was recorded by Muslim (1/65), Abū Dāwūd (4091) with part of it, and al-Tirmidhī (1/360) who said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." It was also recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/181), but he did not narrate it in full. Then he recorded it through the route of Abū Yaḥyá ibn Jaʿdah from Ibn Masʿūd with it and said: "Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ, and its narrators have been relied upon." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. It was also recorded by Aḥmad (1/385 and 427) and al-Ḥākim (4/182) through the route of Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Ibn Masʿūd with it, except for the statement: "Indeed, Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty." 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAmr, it is narrated by Zayd ibn Aslam from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from him with a wording similar to that of Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/169-170) and al-Ḥākim (1/26) in a summarized form, and it includes the addition: "Indeed, Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty," and he said: "According to the conditions of Muslim," and it is as he said. 3 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUqbah, it is narrated by Shahr ibn Ḥawshab who said: I heard a man narrating from ʿUqbah with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/151). Shahr is weak, and his teacher was not named. 4 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar, it is narrated by Mūsá ibn ʿĪsá al-Qurashī who informed us from ʿAṭāʾ al-Khurāsānī from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say:
