and by al-Ḥākim (2/346-347, 570, 571) and Aḥmad (2/332, 384) through the route of Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr from Abū Salamah from Abū Hurayrah, elevated, and al-Tirmidhī said: "A good ḥadīth." al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the conditions of Muslim." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. It was also recorded by Muslim (7/98) through the route of Ibn Shihāb from Abū Salamah and Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from Abū Hurayrah, in abbreviated form.

- "Indeed, the one who lies about me will have a house built for him in the Fire." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/22, 103, 144) from Abū Bakr ibn Sālim from his father from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs.

- "Glad tidings for the strangers." It was said: "And who are the strangers, O Messenger of Allāh?" He said: "Righteous people, few among many evil people; those who disobey them are more than those who obey them." It was narrated by Ibn al-Mubārak in "al-Zuhd" (190/2 from al-Kawākib 575 - and number 775 printed): Ibn Lahīʿah informed us, he said: al-Ḥārith ibn Yazīd ibn Jundub ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-ʿAdwānī told me that he heard Sufyān ibn ʿAwf al-Qārī say: I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr ibn al-ʿĀṣ say: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said one day while we were with him: and he mentioned it. Similarly, it was recorded by Aḥmad (2/177, 222) through two other routes from Ibn Lahīʿah with it. I say: This isnād consists of trustworthy men, except that Sufyān ibn ʿAwf al-Qārī was only deemed reliable by Ibn Ḥibbān (3/96) and al-ʿAjlī number (483), who said: "An Egyptian tābiʿī, trustworthy."
