it was recorded by the two Shaykhs, and from the ḥadīth of Jābir in Muslim, and from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī in al-Bazzār and others. It is also found in "al-Targhīb" (1/138) and all of them are with Ibn Naṣr (17/1 - 18/1).

- "He used to tie a stone to his stomach due to hunger." It was recorded by Ibn al-Aʿrābī in "his Muʿjam" (3/1) through the route of Zaynab bint Abī Ṭalīq who informed us from Ḥayyān ibn Ḥayyah from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ... the ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is strange, below Abū Hurayrah, and I did not know them. However, it is corroborated by the ḥadīth of Sayyār from Sahl ibn Aslam from Yazīd ibn Abī Manṣūr from Ibn Mālik from Abū Ṭalḥah who said: "We complained to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) about hunger, and we lifted a stone from our stomachs, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) lifted two stones." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī in "al-Sunan" (3/276) and "al-Shamāʾil" (2/232) and he said: "A strange ḥadīth, we do not know it except from this route." I said: It is weak due to Sayyār, who is Ibn Ḥātim al-ʿAnazī, mentioned by al-Dhahabī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" and he said: "al-Qawārīrī said: He was with me in the shop, he had no intellect. He was asked: Do you accuse him? He said: No, and others said: Truthful, sound in his inner self." And al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful but has errors."
