"The isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī commented on it by saying: "I say: it is not connected." Then al-Ḥākim provided a supporting narration from the route of Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥuṣayn ibn ʿAwf from Umm Salamah who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say to his wives: "the one who will care for you after me is the truthful and righteous one. O Allāh, give ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf to drink from the springs of Paradise." And he said: "The ḥadīth has been authenticated from ʿĀʾishah and Umm Salamah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā)." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him.
" صحيح الإسناد ". وتعقبه الذهبي بقوله: " قلت: ليس بمتصل". ثم ساق له الحاكم شاهدا من طريق محمد بن إسحاق عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن الحصين بن عوف عن أم سلمة قالت: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول لأزواجه: " إن الذي يحنو عليكن بعدي هو الصادق البار، اللهم اسق عبد الرحمن بن عوف من سلسبيل الجنة ". وقال: " فقد صح الحديث عن عائشة وأم سلمة ﵄ ". ووافقه الذهبي.
"A man has more right to the front of his mount, the front of his bed, and to lead prayer in his dwelling." It was recorded by al-Dārimī (2/285), al-Bazzār (55 - his additions), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" and "al-Awsaṭ" (no. 900) in a shortened form from the route of Isḥāq ibn Yaḥyá ibn Ṭalḥah from al-Musayyib ibn Rāfiʿ and Maʿbad ibn Khālid from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Khaṭmī - who was a governor in Kūfah - who said: "We came to Qays ibn Saʿd ibn ʿUbādah in his house, and the caller to prayer announced the prayer, and we said to Qays: Stand and lead us in prayer. He said: I would not lead a people in prayer over whom I am not an authority. Then a man not lesser than him, named ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥanẓalah al-Ghasīl, said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: (he mentioned it), so Qays ibn Saʿd then said: O so-and-so - to a servant of his -: Stand and lead them in prayer." I say: This isnād is weak. Isḥāq is weak as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb." Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (2/65) after attributing it to those mentioned except al-Dārimī: "In it is Isḥāq ibn Yaḥyá ibn Ṭalḥah, who was weakened by Aḥmad, Ibn Maʿīn, and al-Bukhārī, but was deemed reliable by Yaʿqūb ibn Shaybah and Ibn Ḥibbān."
" الرجل أحق بصدر دابته وصدر فراشه وأن يؤم في رحله ". أخرجه الدارمي (٢ / ٢٨٥) والبزار (٥٥ - زوائده) والطبراني في " الكبير " و" الأوسط " (رقم - ٩٠٠) مختصرا من طريق إسحاق بن يحيى بن طلحة عن المسيب بن رافع ومعبد بن خالد عن عبد الله بن يزيد الخطمي - وكان أميرا على الكوفة - قال: " أتينا قيس بن سعد بن عبادة في بيته، فأذن المؤذن للصلاة، وقلنا لقيس: قم فصل لنا، فقال: لم أكن لأصلي بقوم لست عليهم بأمير، فقال رجل ليس بدونه يقال له عبد الله بن حنظلة الغسيل: قال رسول الله ﷺ: (فذكره) ، فقال قيس بن سعد عند ذلك: يا فلان - لمولى له -: قم فصل لهم ". قلت: وهذا إسناد ضعيف، إسحاق هذا ضعيف كما في " التقريب ". وقال الهيثمي في " المجمع " (٢ / ٦٥) بعد ما عزاه للمذكورين غير الدارمي: " وفيه إسحاق ابن يحيى بن طلحة ضعفه أحمد وابن معين والبخاري، ووثقه يعقوب بن شيبة وابن حبان ".
