and he was followed by al-Sarī ibn Ismāʿīl al-Kūfī, who reported that al-Shaʿbī narrated to him. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/273). However, this al-Sarī is abandoned. In summary, the ḥadīth is ḥasan due to the combination of the first two chains.

"Your affairs concern me after my passing, and none will be patient with you except those who are truly patient." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/312) from Bakr ibn Muḍar: Ṣakhr ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥarmalah narrated to us from Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān who said: "I entered upon ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), and she said to me: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to say to me: (and he mentioned it) then she said: May Allāh give your father to drink from the springs of Paradise, as ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf had given them wealth, which was sold for forty thousand." And he [al-Ḥākim] said: "Authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim." Al-Dhahabī commented on it by saying: "I say: Ṣakhr is truthful, but they did not include him." I say: al-ʿAjlī and Ibn Ḥibbān declared him reliable, and al-Nasāʾī said: sound. No one narrated from him except Bakr ibn Muḍar, so his ḥadīth is ḥasan. And Allāh knows best. There is a supporting narration recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/310-311) through the route of Umm Bakr bint al-Maswar that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf sold a piece of land for forty thousand dinars..... and sent some of that wealth to ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), and she said: Who sent this wealth? I said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAwf, she said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: None will be kind to you after me except those who are truly patient, may Allāh give Ibn ʿAwf to drink from the springs of Paradise
