It was narrated by Aḥmad (3/164): ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, Maʿmar narrated to us from Qatādah from Anas ibn Mālik, reported. I say: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and al-Bukhārī also reported it (334) in a suspended form, saying: Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān said from Shuʿbah from Qatādah with it. He also connected it (3/30-33), and Muslim (1/103-105), and Abū ʿAwānah (1/120-124), and al-Nasāʾī (1/76-77), and Aḥmad also (4/207-208 and 208-210) through various chains from Qatādah from Anas from Mālik ibn Ṣaʿṣaʿah, reported with the full ḥadīth of the Isrāʾ, including this. Thus, they made it from the Musnad of Mālik ibn Ṣaʿṣaʿah, which is correct. Then I found that al-Ḥākim also reported it (1/81) through the route of Aḥmad, saying: "Authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him.
