- "I am the supplication of my father Abraham, and the last to give glad tidings of me was Jesus, son of Mary (ʿalayhi al-ṣalām)." Narrated by Ibn ʿAsākir in "al-Tārīkh" (1/265/2) from Bishr ibn ʿAmārah, from al-Aḥwaṣ ibn Ḥakīm, from Khālid ibn Saʿd, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ghanm, from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit: It was said: O Messenger of Allāh, tell us about yourself. He said: Yes, I am... the ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is weak, as Bishr ibn ʿAmārah and al-Aḥwaṣ ibn Ḥakīm are weak, but it is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Umāmah who said: "O Prophet of Allāh, what was the first beginning of your affair?" He said: He mentioned it with the wording: "The supplication of my father Abraham, the glad tidings of Jesus, and my mother saw that a light came forth from her that illuminated the palaces of Syria." Narrated by Aḥmad (5/262): Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, Faraj narrated to us, Luqmān ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, he said: I heard Abū Umāmah say: I said: He mentioned it. Also narrated by Ibn Saʿd in "al-Ṭabaqāt" (1/102) and Ibn ʿAdī (165/1). I said: This isnād is ḥasan as stated by al-Haythamī (8/222) who said: "It has supporting evidence that strengthens it, and it was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī." I said: Among them is the ḥadīth before it. Among them is what was narrated by Buḥayr ibn Saʿīd from Khālid from ʿUtbah ibn ʿAbd al-Sulamī similar to it, more complete with the wording: "My nurse was..." the ḥadīth.
