it is considered good due to it, and you will find other supporting narrations under it, so refer to them if you wish. Then al-Ṭabarānī narrated it (8082) through the route of al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Sulaymān al-Raqī from al-Khalīl ibn Murrah from Abū Ghālib from Abū Umāmah in a raised report with the wording: "Do not wrong others when distributing your inheritances, be just with people from yourselves, do not be cowardly when fighting your enemy, do not misappropriate your war booty, and protect your oppressed from your oppressor." I said: Both al-ʿAlāʾ and his teacher Khalīl are weak, and al-Haythamī criticized it in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (4/199) due to the first of them, so he fell short.

- "He used to recite incantations, saying: Remove the affliction, Lord of the people, in Your hand is the cure, none can remove distress except You." It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (6/50): He narrated to us from Hishām who said: My father narrated to me from ʿĀʾishah that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to... I said: This isnād is authentic according to the conditions of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and it was also recorded by al-Bukhārī (4/63) and Muslim (7/16) through other routes from Hishām with it, except that they said: "none can remove it except You." It was also recorded by al-Kharāʾiṭī in "Makārim al-Akhlāq" (p. 89): ʿAmr ibn Shabah ibn ʿUbaydah al-Namīrī narrated to us, Yāḥyá ibn Saʿīd narrated it in a shortened form with the wording: "Remove the affliction, Lord of the people, none can remove distress except You." I said: This isnād is also authentic. And it has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Rāfiʿ ibn Khadīj who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) entered upon the son of ʿAmmār and said: Remove the affliction, Lord of the people, God of the people."
