"Break your bows—meaning during the turmoil—cut your bowstrings, stay inside your homes, and be like the better of the two sons of Adam in them." Narrated by al-Tirmidhī (3/222 - Tuhfah), al-Bayhaqī in "al-Shuʿab" (2/113/2), and Ibn ʿAsākir (17/491/1) from Hammām, who reported from Muḥammad ibn Jaḥādah, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Tharwān, from al-Huzayl, from Abū Mūsá, from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), who said: and he mentioned it. Al-Tirmidhī said: "A good and rare ḥadīth." I say: Its isnād is authentic, all its narrators are trustworthy, the men of al-Bukhārī. The ḥadīth strongly indicates that the command to stay at home is specifically during times of turmoil and chaos. Thus, it applies to some ḥadīths that command staying at home in general, like the upcoming ḥadīth (1535) and similar to the ḥadīth (1531).

"Guarantee me six things and I will guarantee you Paradise: When one of you speaks, do not lie; when entrusted, do not betray; when you promise, do not break it; lower your gaze; restrain your hands; and guard your private parts." Narrated by Ibn ʿAdī in "al-Kāmil" (Q 325/1), al-Ṭabarānī (8018), al-Salafī in "Muʿjam al-Safar" (Q 137/2), and Ibn al-Jawzī in "Dhamm al-Hawá" (p. 83 and 138) through the route of Faḍāl ibn Jubayr, who said: I heard Abū Umāmah al-Bāhilī say: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. Ibn ʿAdī said: "Faḍāl ibn Jubayr has about ten ḥadīths, all of which are not preserved." Ibn Ḥibbān said: "It is not permissible to use him as evidence in any case, he narrates ḥadīths that have no basis." I say: But it has a supporting narration from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit that strengthens it, its documentation has already been mentioned
