and for Busrah, there is another isnād. Imām Aḥmad said (4/169-170): Abū Salamah al-Khuzāʿī narrated to us, Sulaymān ibn Bilāl narrated to us, Yazīd ibn Khuṣayfah told me, Busrah ibn Saʿīd informed me, Abū Juhaym told me: "that two men differed regarding a verse from the Quran, and one said: I received it from the Messenger (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)" the ḥadīth is similar except for his saying: "whichever you recite, you have done well." Its isnād is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs. Abū Salamah al-Khuzāʿī's name is Manṣūr ibn Salamah al-Baghdādī. Ibn Wahb corroborated him with Ibn Jarīr in "Tafsīr" (1/43). There is a concise supporting narration from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "The Quran was revealed in seven modes; disputation about the Quran is disbelief, three times. Whatever you know of it, act upon it, and whatever you are ignorant of, refer it to one who knows it." It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/300), Ibn Jarīr in "Tafsīr" (1/2), and Abū Yaʿlá (4/1432) through the route of Abū Ḥāzim from Abū Salamah—I do not know it except—from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. I say: its isnād is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, and Ibn Ḥibbān authenticated it (1780). Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr al-Laythī corroborated him on the second part of it, narrated to us by Abū Salamah from Abū Hurayrah with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/286, 424, 475, 503, 528). He also recorded it (1/419, 421, 452), and Ibn Jarīr (1/23/12, 13), and Ibn Ḥibbān (1783) through routes from ʿĀṣim from Zirr from ʿAbdullāh who said: "Two men differed regarding a sūrah, and one said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) taught me...
