"authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, and we do not know of any defect in it." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said.

"Indeed, Allāh sent me as a deliverer and not as a harsh enforcer." It was recorded by Muslim (4/194-195) and al-Tirmidhī (2/231) through the route of Maʿmar, who said: Ayūb informed me that ʿĀʾishah said: "Do not tell your wives that I have chosen you," and the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to her... and he mentioned it. They both recorded it at the end of Ibn ʿAbbās's ḥadīth regarding his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) staying away from his wives for a month. This chain of transmission is clearly interrupted, because Ayūb, who is Ibn Abī Tamīmah al-Kaysānī, did not meet ʿĀʾishah (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhā), and Muslim did not intentionally include it but rather followed the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās as it occurred to him. Similarly, al-Tirmidhī's statement by ʿUqbah: "a ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." He only means the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās. I have found a supporting narration for the ḥadīth of the chapter from the narration of Abū al-Zubayr from Jābir, elevated similarly. It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/328). Its chain of transmission is according to the criteria of Muslim, although Abū al-Zubayr is known for tadlīs and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah, so perhaps the ḥadīth is ḥasan when considering both routes together. "The least of my community are those who reach seventy." It was narrated by Ibn al-Ḍurays in "Aḥādīth Muslim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Farāhīdī" (5/1) and al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" (56) from Baḥr ibn Kanīz from Qatādah from Anas ibn Mālik, elevated.
