I said: This is a sound isnād according to the criteria of Muslim, and he has included it in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (8/86), as well as Aḥmad (5/161) from the route of Shuʿbah from al-Jurayrī, elevated with the wording: "Shall I not inform you of the speech most beloved to Allāh? I said: O Messenger of Allāh, inform me of the speech most beloved to Allāh. He said: Indeed, the speech most beloved to Allāh is 'Subḥān Allāh wa-bi-ḥamdih'." Muslim also narrated it from the route of Ḥibbān ibn Hilāl, who reported from Wahīb, with the same mention as the ḥadīth of ʿAffān, and Aḥmad also narrated it (5/176) from the route of Yazīd, who informed us from al-Jurayrī. There is also supporting evidence for the ḥadīth from some of the Companions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) who reported from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying: "The best speech is 'Subḥān Allāh, al-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illā Allāh, and Allāhu akbar'." Aḥmad narrated it (4/36) where Wakiʿ said: al-Aʿmash narrated to us from Abū Ṣāliḥ from him. I said: This is a sound isnād, its narrators are the narrators of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim], and the anonymity of the Companion does not harm, as is known. Al-Bukhārī has also commented on it in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (9/117) with the wording: "The best speech is four..." and the rest is the same. Muslim has connected it (6/172) and others from the ḥadīth of Samurah ibn Jundub, elevated with it.

" والباقي مثله سواء. وقد وصله مسلم (٦ / ١٧٢) وغيره من حديث سمرةابن جندب مرفوعا به.

- "Shall I not inform you of the best part of the Qurʾān? Then he recited to him: 'All praise is due to Allāh, Lord of the worlds'." Al-Ḥākim narrated it (1/560) from the route of ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Maʿnī, who reported from Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah from Thābit from Anas (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was on a journey, and he stopped, and a man stopped beside him. He said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) turned and said" and he mentioned it. Al-Ḥākim narrated it (1/560) and said: "Sound according to the criteria of Muslim." And al-Dhahabī agreed with him
