the wealth, so I inclined towards him, and the girl inclined towards her mother's desire, but they refused until the matter was brought to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). Qudāmah ibn Maẓʿūn said: O Messenger of Allāh, my brother's daughter was entrusted to me, and I married her to her cousin ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar. I did not fall short in ensuring her righteousness or suitability, but she is a woman and inclined towards her mother's desire! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: She is an orphan and cannot be married except with her permission. He said: By Allāh, she was taken from me after I had given her in marriage, and they married her to al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/130) and al-Dāraquṭnī p. 385 from Ibn Isḥāq, who narrated to me from ʿAmr ibn Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbdullāh, the client of the family of Ḥāṭib, from Nāfiʿ, the client of Ibn ʿUmar, from him. This is a good isnād; its men are the men of the two Shaykhs except for Ibn Isḥāq, who explicitly stated the narration, and he was followed. Al-Dāraquṭnī and al-Ḥākim (2/167) narrated it from Ibn Abī Dhīʾb from ʿUmar ibn Ḥusayn in a similar, abbreviated form, and in al-Ḥākim's version: Do not marry women until you consult them, and if they remain silent, that is their permission. He said: It is authentic according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, and al-Dhahabī agreed with him, and it is as they said, and its wording will appear in its place.
المال فحطت إليه وحطت الجارية إلى هوى أمها فأبيا حتى ارتفع أمرها إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال قدامة بن مظعون: يا رسول الله ابنة أخي أوصى بها إلي فزوجتها ابن عمتها عبد الله بن عمر فلم أقصر بها في الصلاح ولا في الكفاءة ولكنها امرأة وإنما حطت إلى هوى أمها! فقال رسول الله ﷺ: هي يتيمة ولا تنكح إلا بإذنها، قال: فانتزعت والله مني بعد أن ملكتها فزوجوها المغيرة بن شعبة ". أخرجه أحمد (٢ / ١٣٠) والدارقطني ص (٣٨٥) عن ابن إسحاق حدثني عمرا بن حسين بن عبد الله مولى آل حاطب عن نافع مولى ابن عمر عنه. وهذا إسناد جيد رجاله رجال الشيخين غير ابن إسحاق وقد صرح بالتحديث، وقد توبع، فرواه الدارقطني والحاكم (٢ / ١٦٧) عن ابن أبي ذئب عن عمر بن حسين به نحوه مختصرا وفيه عند الحاكم: لا تنكحوا النساء حتى تستأمروهن، فإذا سكتن فهو إذنهن ". وقال: صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ووافقه الذهبي، وهو كما قالا، وسيأتي لفظه في موضعه.

"The wrath of Allāh is severe upon a people who did this to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) while he was pointing to his incisor - the wrath of Allāh is severe upon a man whom the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) kills in the path of Allāh." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (5/37) and Muslim (5/179), and the wording is from him, from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah. Then al-Bukhārī recorded it from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, who said: "The wrath of Allāh is severe upon one whom the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) kills in the path of Allāh, the wrath of Allāh is severe upon a people who bloodied the face of the Prophet of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)." Thus, al-Bukhārī recorded it as a statement from Ibn ʿAbbās, and likewise, al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr mentioned it in "al-Bidāyah" (4/29) as a statement from him, and it is considered elevated for certain, and it appeared elevated in a version of al-Bukhārī that has the commentary of al-ʿAynī (8/225), so review it with the wording: from Ibn ʿAbbās: he said: the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: I do not know if it is an addition by some copyists or if it is established in some copies of al-Bukhārī. " اشتد غضب الله على قوم فعلوا هذا برسول الله ﷺ وهو حينئذ يشير إلى رباعيته - اشتد غضب الله على رجل يقتله رسول الله ﷺ في سبيل الله ". أخرجه البخاري (٥ / ٣٧) ومسلم (٥ / ١٧٩) واللفظ له من حديث أبي هريرة. ثم أخرجه البخاري من حديث ابن عباس قال: " اشتد غضب الله على من قتله النبي ﷺ في سبيل الله، اشتد غضب الله على قوم دموا وجه نبي الله ﷺ ". هكذا أخرجه البخاري موقوفا على ابن عباس، وكذلك أورده الحافظ بن كثير في " البداية " (٤ / ٢٩) موقوفا عليه، وهو في حكم المرفوع حتما وقد وقع مرفوعا في نسخة البخاري التي عليها شرح العيني (٨ / ٢٢٥) فراجعه بلفظ: عن ابن عباس: قال: قال النبي ﷺ: فلا أدري أهي زيادة من بعض النساخ أو أنها ثابتة في بعض نسخ البخاري. والله أعلم.
