he said: so he mentioned it, and said: "The isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him, but that is one of his errors, for Darāj is considered weak, as will be mentioned. Ibn Lahīʿah narrated it from Darāj with the addition: "and the elevation of my status." It was recorded by al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (1/146), and by Aḥmad (3/29) without it. Al-Dhahabī mentioned it in "al-ʿUlūw" (p. 116) from this perspective and did not attribute it to anyone, saying: "Darāj is weak." I say: the cause of this addition, in my opinion, is from Ibn Lahīʿah, and it is from his confusions, not from Darāj, as ʿAmr ibn al-Ḥārith narrated from him without it, as I have seen. The ḥadīth has been corroborated, as Imām Aḥmad recorded it (3/29/41) through the path of Layth from Yazīd ibn al-Hād from ʿAmr from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the wording: "Indeed, Iblīs said to his Lord: By Your might and majesty, I will not cease to mislead the children of Ādam as long as their souls are in them. So Allāh said: By My might and majesty, I will not cease to forgive them as long as they seek My forgiveness." I say: this isnād is composed of trustworthy men, the men of the two Shaykhs, but it is disconnected between ʿAmr—who is Ibn Abī ʿUmar, the client of al-Muṭṭalib—and Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, for they did not mention any narration of ʿAmr from any of the Companions except Anas ibn Mālik, and he died much later than Abū Saʿīd, for the latter's death was in the year (75) according to most accounts, and he [ʿAmr] died in the year (92) or (93)
قال: فذكره، وقال:" صحيح الإسناد " ووافقه الذهبي وذلك من أوهامه، فإن دراجا عنده واه كمايأتي. ورواه ابن لهيعة عن دراج به وزاد: " وارتفاع مكاني ". أخرجه البغوي في " شرح السنة " (١ / ١٤٦) ، وأحمد (٣ / ٢٩) بدونهاوأوردها الذهبي في " العلو " (ص ١١٦) من هذا الوجه ولم يعزه لأحد وقال:" دراج واه ". قلت: وعلة هذه الزيادة عندي من ابن لهيعة وهي من تخاليطه لا من دراج، فقدرواه عنه عمرو بن الحارث بدونها كما رأيت. وقد توبع على الحديث، فأخرجه الإمام أحمد (٣ / ٢٩ / ٤١) من طريق ليث عنيزيد بن الهاد عن عمرو عن أبي سعيد الخدري مرفوعا بلفظ:" إن إبليس قال لربه: بعزتك وجلالك لا أبرح أغوي بني آدم ما دامت الأرواحفيهم فقال الله: فبعزتي وجلالي لا أبرح أغفر لهم ما استغفروني ". قلت: هذا إسناد رجاله كلهم ثقات رجال الشيخين لكنه منقطع بين عمرو - وهو ابنأبي عمر مولى المطلب - وبين أبي سعيد الخدري، فإنهم، لم يذكروا لعمرو روايةعن أحد من الصحابة غير أنس بن مالك، وهو متأخر الوفاة جدا عن أبي سعيد، فإنهذا كانت وفاته سنة (٧٥) على أكثر ما قيل، وهو توفي سنة (٩٢) وقيل(٩٣) .
