"authentic according to the criteria of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, but they did not include it." al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: Muslim included it (7/178): Zuhair ibn Ḥarb narrated to me, Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us with it, except that he said "the Anṣār" instead of "Aslam," and the rest is the same. He also narrated a supporting witness from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, elevated, with the wording: "Quraysh and the Anṣār...." The rest is the same, but he did not mention "and those who were from Banū Kaʿb."

- "Be generous, and you will be treated generously." Narrated by Aḥmad (1/248) and Muḥammad ibn Sulaymān al-Rabaʿī in "A Part of His Ḥadīth" (212/2) from al-Walīd ibn Muslim, from Ibn Jurayj, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Ibn ʿAbbās, elevated. I said: Its narrators are trustworthy except for the ʿanʿanah of al-Walīd, but Ibn ʿAsākir included it in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (17/450/1) through the route of al-Ḥakam ibn Mūsá Abū Ṣāliḥ, al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us that he heard ʿAṭāʾ with it. And through the route of Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth and Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh from Ibn Jurayj with it. In the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAyyāsh, Ibn Jurayj also explicitly states hearing, and it was included by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (63/11/1) through the route of al-Ṭabarānī from ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān, al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated from ʿAṭāʾ with it. Thus, the isnād is connected, and the ḥadīth is authentic, and all praise is due to Allāh. Ibn ʿAsākir also included it (2/94 and 17/451/1) through the route of Khārijah from Ibn Jurayj from ʿAṭāʾ, mursal, with the wording: "Be generous, and you will be treated generously." He said: "Abū Muḥammad ibn al-Akfānī told us: it is Khārijah ibn Muṣʿab." I said: Mundal ibn ʿAlī al-ʿAnazī also followed him according to Ibn ʿAsākir, and both are weak, and the correct view in the ḥadīth is that it is musnad from Ibn ʿAbbās as previously mentioned.
