Hishām ibn ʿAmmār in the context of entertainment, which al-Bukhārī narrated from him using the expression (he said). as mentioned in its appropriate place.

- "Be independent of people, even with a toothpick." It was narrated by al-Bazzār (96), al-Ṭabarānī (3/154/1), and al-Mukhliṣ in "al-Fawāʾid al-Muntaqāh" (6/66/2), and Abū Muḥammad al-Ḍarrāb in "Dhamm al-Riyāʾ" (1/292/2) from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muslim from al-Aʿmash from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet]. It was also narrated by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (227/1) from al-Mukhliṣ, and from al-Ṭabarānī through two other chains from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muslim. Then he said: "Ḥamdān ibn ʿAlī said: I asked Aḥmad about the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Qasmulī: Be independent of people? He said: It is rejected, I have not seen a ḥadīth more rejected than this." (See the correction number 343/4). I said: Perhaps he means merely the uniqueness, which does not necessarily imply weakness, as he said about the ḥadīth of istikhārah that al-Bukhārī narrated that it is rejected. Otherwise, the isnād of the ḥadīth of the chapter is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and al-Ḥāfiẓ al-ʿIrāqī said: "Its isnād is authentic." Al-Haythamī and al-Sakhāwī said: "Its narrators are trustworthy." Al-Munāwī commented afterwards: "And thus, the author's symbol for its weakness is incorrect." I said: It is strange that in a version of "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" on which al-Munāwī's commentary was printed, the symbol indicates authenticity! And al-Mundhirī said (2/9): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī with a good isnād and al-Bayhaqī."

- "Benefit from this House, for it has been demolished twice and will be raised in the third time." It was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1/252/2) and from al-Daylamī
