I said: Its narrators are reliable except for Muḥammad ibn Ḥajjāj, who is the Damascene. A group of reliable narrators reported from him, named by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (3/235) from his father, who then said: "I asked him about him, and he said: A shaykh." Thus, the isnād is good, if Allāh wills, and it seems that for this reason, al-Suyūṭī indicated its goodness as in "al-Fayḍ." Al-Bukhārī also pointed out that it has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Abū al-Dardāʾ from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), tracing its isnād to al-Aʿmash from ʿAmr from Sālim from Umm al-Dardāʾ from him. And this isnād is authentic; all its narrators are reliable. Sālim is Ibn Abī al-Jaʿd, and ʿAmr is Ibn Dīnār.

- "When the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) greeted us, we would say: And upon you be peace, mercy, blessings, and forgiveness of Allāh." Al-Bukhārī recorded it in "al-Tārīkh al-Kabīr" (1/1/330). He said: Muḥammad said: Ibrāhīm ibn Mukhtār narrated to us from Shuʿbah from Hārūn ibn Saʿd from Thumāmah ibn ʿUqbah from Zayd ibn Arqam, and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād is good; its narrators are all reliable, all from the men of "al-Tahdhīb." Ibrāhīm ibn Mukhtār, who is al-Rāzī, narrated from a group of reliable narrators mentioned by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (1/1/138), who then said: "I asked my father about him, and he said: He is sound in ḥadīth and more beloved to me than Salamah ibn al-Faḍl and ʿAlī ibn Mujāhid." And Muḥammad, the narrator from him, is Ibn Saʿīd al-Aṣbahānī, and he is among the shaykhs of al-Bukhārī in "al-Ṣaḥīḥ." Thus, the isnād is connected, not suspended, and the discussion about it is like the discussion about the ḥadīth
