from the actions of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and Abū al-Zubayr explicitly mentioned hearing it. Perhaps the origin of the ḥadīth is that he (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) threw with it and commanded it, so some narrated this, and others narrated that.

- "The soil of Paradise is white flour." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/361) from Mujālid, from al-Shaʿbī, from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to the Jews: "I will ask them about the soil of Paradise, which is white flour." So he asked them, and they said: "It is bread, O Abū al-Qāsim." The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "The bread is from fine flour." I say: Its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Mujālid, who is Ibn Saʿīd and is not strong. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/399): "Aḥmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the authentic collections, except for Mujālid, and more than one has deemed him reliable." The ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Suyūṭī in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Kabīr" (no. 2956) from the narration of Abū al-Shaykh in "al-ʿAẓamah" from Jābir with the wording: "The land of Paradise is white bread." It is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, who said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "The earth will be a single loaf of bread on the Day of Resurrection, which the Almighty will turn with His hand as one of you turns his bread while traveling, as a provision for the people of Paradise." Then a man from the Jews came and said: "May the Merciful bless you, O Abū al-Qāsim! Shall I not inform you of the provision for the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection?" He said: "Yes." He said: "The earth will be a single loaf of bread, as the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said." The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) looked at us and then laughed until his molars showed, and then he said: "Shall I not inform you of their condiment?" They said: "What is this?" He said: "It is from the liver of a bull and a whale, from which seventy thousand will eat." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (11/313-315 - Fatḥ) and Muslim (8/128).
- " تربة الجنة درمكة بيضاء ". أخرجه أحمد (٣ / ٣٦١) عن مجالد عن الشعبي عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ لليهود: " إني سائلهم عن تربة الجنة وهي درمكة بيضاء، فسألهم؟ فقالوا: هي خبزة يا أبا القاسم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الخبزة من الدرمك ". قلت: ورجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين غير مجالد وهو ابن سعيد وليس بالقوي وقال الهيثمي في " المجمع " (١٠ / ٣٩٩) : " رواه أحمد ورجاله رجال الصحيح غير مجالد، ووثقه غير واحد ". والحديث أورده السيوطي في " الجامع الكبير " (رقم ٢٩٥٦) من رواية أبي الشيخ في " العظمة " عن جابر بلفظ: " أرض الجنة خبزة بيضاء ". ويشهد له حديث أبي سعيد الخدري قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " تكون الأرض يوم القيامة خبزة واحدة، يتكفؤها الجبار بيده كما يتكفأ أحدكم خبزته في السفر نزلا لأهل الجنة، فأتى رجل من اليهود فقال: بارك الرحمن عليك يا أبا القاسم! ألا أخبرك بنزل أهل الجنة يوم القيامة؟ قال: بلى، قال: تكون الأرض خبزة واحدة، كما قال النبي ﷺ، فنظر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إلينا ثم ضحك حتى بدت نواجذه، ثم قال: ألا أخبرك بإدامهم؟ قال: إدامهم بالام ونون، قالوا ما هذا؟ قال: ثور ونون، يأكل من زائدة كبدها سبعون ألفا ". أخرجه البخاري (١١ / ٣١٣ - ٣١٥ - فتح) ومسلم (٨ / ١٢٨) .
