"he narrated from Sinān ibn Sunna, and Sinān was a Companion, and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥarmalah narrated from him." I said: And you see that between him and Sinān is Ḥarmalah ibn ʿAmr, and Allāh knows best. 2 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muʿādh al-Taymī, it is narrated by Ḥumayd ibn Qays from Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Taymī from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muʿādh al-Taymī. "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) used to command us to throw at the jamarāt with pebbles the size of chickpeas." It was recorded by al-Dārimī (2/62), Aḥmad (4/61 and 5/374), and al-Bayhaqī (5/127). I said: And this isnād is authentic. In a narration by Aḥmad from the route of Maʿmar from Ḥumayd al-Aʿraj with it, except that he said: from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muʿādh from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. The first is more authentic. 3 - As for the ḥadīth of Umm Sulaymān, it is narrated by Burayd ibn Abī Ziyād, who informed us from Sulaymān ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Aḥwaṣ from his mother, she said: and he mentioned something similar. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1/455 - al-Ḥalabiyyah), Aḥmad (3/503 and 6/379), and al-Bayhaqī. And its isnād is good in terms of supporting evidence. 4 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUthmān ibn ʿUbayd Allāh, it is narrated by Abū Salamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿUthmān al-Taymī from his father, attributed to the Prophet. It was recorded by al-Dārimī and al-Bayhaqī, and its isnād is authentic. As for the ḥadīth of Jābir, it is narrated by Sufyān from Abū al-Zubayr from him. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1/450), al-Dārimī, and al-Bayhaqī. I said: And its isnād is according to the conditions of Muslim, and he recorded it (4/80) with this isnād
