and its narrators are trustworthy except for Abū Ṣāliḥ, whose name is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāliḥ, and he is weak. However, he was followed by Ibn Wahb, who narrated to me from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ with it. it is a good chain except that al-ʿAlāʾ had become confused. It was recorded by al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (3/10). He was also followed by Ādam ibn ʿAlī al-Bakrī who said: "I was sitting with Ibn ʿUmar, and a young man was standing and praying, prolonging his standing. He [Ibn ʿUmar] said: 'O Ādam, do you know this...'" the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Ibn Bishrān in "al-Kurrās al-Akhīr min al-Juzʾ al-Thalāthīn min al-Amālī" (7/1) from ʿUbayd ibn Isḥāq al-ʿAṭṭār who narrated to us from ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Yamāmī: Ādam ibn ʿAlī al-Bakrī narrated to me. I said: This is a weak isnād due to the unknown status of this al-Yamāmī, and the weakness of ʿUbayd al-ʿAṭṭār, and what has preceded suffices instead of it.
- "When the servant of one of you brings his food, let him sit with him. If he does not sit with him, then let him give him a bite or two, for he has handled its preparation and heat." Authentic from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah, and there are multiple paths from him: the first is from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād who said, I heard Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (3/131 and 7/71 - al-Nahḍah) and Aḥmad (2/283, 409, and 430) and al-Dārimī (2/107). The second is from Mūsá ibn Yasār from him, raised [to the Prophet] with a similar meaning, and in it: "If the food is scant and little, let him place in his hand a bite or two." It was recorded by Muslim (5/94) and Aḥmad (2/277) and Abū Dāwūd (2/328-329 - al-Ḥalabī)
