- "Three people Allāh will not look at on the Day of Resurrection: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the habitual drinker of alcohol, and the one who reminds others of his generosity. And three will not enter Paradise: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the cuckold, and the masculine woman." This was narrated by al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (1875), who said: Ḥasan ibn Yaḥyá al-Arzī narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Bilāl narrated to us, ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān narrated to us from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr from Sālim from his father as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is good; its narrators are trustworthy, from the men of "Tahdhīb," and there is some criticism of them that does not harm. ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār, the freed slave of Ibn ʿUmar, followed him up from Sālim with it. Al-Bazzār also narrated it (1876) and others, and it was authenticated by al-Ḥākim and al-Dhahabī, and it is included in "Ḥijāb al-Marʾah" (p. 67).
"When a servant stands for prayer, all his sins are brought and placed on his shoulders, and every time he bows or prostrates, they fall off." This was narrated by Muḥammad ibn Naṣr in "al-Ṣalāh" (64/2) and in "Qiyām al-Layl" (p. 52) and by Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (6/99-100) through the route of Thawr ibn Yazīd from Abū al-Munīb. He said: "Ibn ʿUmar saw a young man who prolonged his prayer and elaborated it, so he said: 'Who among you knows this person?' A man said: 'I know him.' He said: 'If I knew him, I would have commanded him to increase his bowing and prostration, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say'—and he mentioned it." I said: This isnād is authentic; all its narrators are trustworthy. And Abū al-Munīb is al-Jurashī al-Dimashqī, who is different from Abū al-Munīb al-Baṣrī al-Aḥdab. Jubayr ibn Nufayr followed him up that ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar saw a young man... the ḥadīth. It was narrated by Ibn Naṣr (65/1) through the route of Abū Ṣāliḥ, narrated to us by Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn al-Ḥārith from Zayd ibn Arṭāh from him
