"al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ" (1/28/1) and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan al-Kubrā" (2/236) through two chains from Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]. Al-Haythamī said about the ḥadīth in "al-Majmaʿ" (2/51): It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" and its isnād is good. I said: This is because in its isnād is Zuhayr ibn ʿAbbād, and there is a difference of opinion about him, but the chain of al-Bayhaqī is free from this issue, so the ḥadīth is authentic, and all praise is due to Allāh. As for his statement: "al-Kabīr," it is likely a slip of the pen or a printing error, for it was only narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" as you know and he is aware of it, for he attributed it to him in "Zawāʾid" from which I quoted, so if his statement: "al-Kabīr" was correct, he would have included "al-Awsaṭ" as well. And Allāh knows best. (Note) Abū Dāwūd and others recorded the first part of the ḥadīth. Refer to "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (645).

If one of you is present at a matter he fears missing, let him perform this prayer. (Meaning the combination of two prayers). It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/98) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (3/194-2/1) through the route of Yazīd ibn Zurayʿ who said: Kathīr ibn Qārūnd narrated to us (and al-Ṭabarānī said: Ibn Qunbar) who said: We asked Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh about his father's prayer during travel? He reported from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said, and he mentioned it. Ibn Shumayl corroborated him, saying: Kathīr ibn Qārūnd narrated to us the same. It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (1/99)
