ʿAlī took my hand and said: Let us go to al-Ḥasan to visit him. We found Abū Mūsá with him, and ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said: Are you visiting... the ḥadīth is similar, and he said: It is a good and rare ḥadīth. This ḥadīth has been narrated from ʿAlī through various routes, some of which are mawqūf and not elevated, and Abū Fākhtah's name is Saʿīd ibn ʿAlāqah. I said: He is trustworthy, but his son Thuwair is weak as mentioned in "al-Taqrīb," yet it is strengthened by what precedes it. Among its routes is what Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated from Yaʿlá ibn ʿAṭāʾ from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār that ʿUmar ibn Ḥurayth visited al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī (ʿalayhi al-salām), and ʿAlī said to him: Do you visit al-Ḥasan while there is something in your hearts? ʿAmr replied: You are not my Lord to direct my heart as you wish. ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) said: Indeed, that does not prevent us from offering you advice. I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: No Muslim visits his brother except that Allāh sends seventy thousand angels to pray for him... the ḥadīth is similar to the narration of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylá without mentioning the myth and mercy. It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/97 and 118) and Ibn Ḥibbān (710). Its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of Muslim, except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār Abū Hammām al-Kūfī, who is unknown, but Ibn Ḥibbān declared him trustworthy (3/141-142). Another route is what Shuʿbah narrated from al-Ḥakam from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Nāfiʿ who said: Abū Mūsá al-Ashʿarī visited al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī... the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Aḥmad (1/120-121 and 121) and Abū Dāwūd (3098). Its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for ʿAbd Allāh ibn Nāfiʿ, who is al-Kūfī Abū Jaʿfar, a client of Banū Hāshim. Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt" and said: Truthful, as in "al-Tahdhīb." I did not see him in the printed "al-Thiqāt." It was said that he is the previously mentioned ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yasār, but this is unlikely, and Allāh knows best. Muslim ibn Abī Maryam narrated from a man of the Anṣār from ʿAlī (ʿalayhi al-salām) in a concise elevated form
أخذ علي بيدي، وقال: انطلق بنا إلى الحسن نعوده، فوجدنا عنده أبا موسى فقال علي ﵇: أعائدا ... الحديث نحوه، وقال: حديث حسن غريب، وقد روي عن علي هذا الحديث من غير وجه منهم من وقفه ولم يرفعه، وأبو فاختة اسمه سعيد بن علاقة. قلت: وهو ثقة لكن ابنه ثوير ضعيف كما في "التقريب" إلا أنه يتقوى بما قبله. ومن طرقه ما روى حماد بن سلمة عن يعلى بن عطاء عن عبد الله بن يسار أن عمر ابن حريث عاد الحسن بن علي ﵁، فقال له علي: أتعود الحسن وفي نفسكما فيها؟ فقال له عمرو: إنك لست بربي فتصرف قلبي حيث شئت. قال علي رضي الله عنه: أما إن ذلك لا يمنعنا أن نؤدي إليك النصيحة؟ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: ما من مسلم عاد أخاه إلا ابتعث الله له سبعين ألف ملك يصلون عليه.. الحديث نحو رواية عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى دون ذكر الخرافة والرحمة. أخرجه أحمد (١ / ٩٧ و ١١٨) وابن حبان (٧١٠). ورجاله ثقات رجال مسلم غير عبد الله بن يسار أبو همام الكوفي فهو مجهول وثقه ابن حبان (٣ / ١٤١ - ١٤٢). ومن طرقه أيضا ما روى شعبة عن الحكم عن عبد الله بن نافع قال: عاد أبو موسى الأشعري الحسن بن علي ... الحديث. أخرجه أحمد (١ / ١٢٠ - ١٢١ و ١٢١) وأبو داود (٣٠٩٨). ورجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين غير عبد الله بن نافع وهو الكوفي أبو جعفر مولى بني هاشم. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" وقال: صدوق كما في "التهذيب". ولم أره في "الثقات" المطبوع. وقيل إنه عبد الله بن يسار المتقدم، وفيه بعد، والله أعلم. وروى مسلم بن أبي مريم عن رجل من الأنصار عن علي ﵁ مرفوعا به مختصرا.
